- Exploitation of infinite resource and tile types.
- Logistic management via belts, balancers and inserters.
- Item transformation via different buildings and recipes.
- Quality changing of some buildings.
What is different in FC
Logistic management
- Belts have only one speed, there is no 'tier' speed.
- Inserters are set up between buildings; they are not physical and do not occupy space.
Space management
- Builings are not all rectangular.
- Maps are not infinite and are relatively small.
Same gameplay for everyone
- New players have access to the same gameplay mechanics as veteran players. That means there is no technology tree. The real game changer will be money ;)
What is new in FC

Your factory will be entirely running when you are offline. It is NOT just a
throughput approximation; you will find your factory in the exact same state as if you
stayed online (isn't it awesome?). You may wonder how the server will handle the entire
computation without crashing. If you are interested in technical specifications, there is
another FCDB on that topic.

Multiplayer interactions are an important part of the game. You can sell and buy almost every
item in the game. You will need to adapt to the market if you want to be profitable.
Moreover, market interaction involves world logistic management. To buy or sell items, you
will use different vehicles to deliver them, which takes time.
- World map, each player can have multiple maps, with different resources in it. You can also buy
or sell maps :)
- Customization on most buildings: skins and dyes (Terraria like)
