You can choose to play FactoryCapi via its standalone build, but also via Steam or Google Play. Depending on your choice, we will collect different information, in the purpose of account management.
By using the standalone version, you will need a FactoryCapi account. You can create one on the website here. We will collect an username, a email address, and a password. The username is public, everyone can see it, and can be changed anytime. The email address will need to be confirmed via a link sent. The password is encrypted, and stored. We cannot know your password and will never ask you for it.
By using the Steam version, you will not need a FactoryCapi account. We will collect your user ID and communicate with Steam to log you in. We will not collect anything else.
By using the Android version, you will not need a FactoryCapi account. We will collect your user ID and communicate with Google to log you in. We will not collect anything else automatically. You will be asked if you want to share crash logs. These can really help us to debug the application. If you agree, crash logs will be sent to us.
You can link your Steam or Google Play account with a FactoryCapi account. That way you can retrieve your progression on different devices, with or without Steam/Google Play.
